How do you pronounce Niya?Niya is not an acronym, it is a word we coined to symbolize the healing of the planet and the human race. Little did we know, NIYA was the name of a civilization that existed 1500 years before we were even born. Once we started digging, we found the fascinating story of Niya, the ancient civilization juxtaposed at the crossroads of the world - where cultures collided and embraced and the peoples of the world came together. Niya is pronounced "nee-ya" Why do you use "We" to describe NIYA?We decided to make NIYA a pluralistic spirit to include both the masculine and the feminine. As you know, in most cultures and societies, universal terms are usually masculine. For example:
We suppose that NIYA could have been a woman until such time that our language includes woman equally. But, that would be reverse discrimination and our goal is to include both women and men equally. So we're committed to developing our own language around this pluralistic inclusive identity! We appreciate your ideas and tips on innovating in this area.
